The production was little but quite varied also during this period, so no wonder that  there are small and big differences between the models.
In spring, the off road models were joined by a new version which had the same cycling, but was more powerful, it was called Six Days.
This model was first used in the European Championship in Segovia (Spain 30th April – 1st May), but there were a lot of hitches and delays so that the engines, manufactured on purpose in Germany, were delivered directly to Spain just before the competition, they were mounted in a hurry on the bikes by mechanics and pilots the day before the competition.
Despite customs problems and the bad weather conditions which forced Fausto Vergani to leave the competition, the SWM was proud of the results achieved in this first competition; Antonio Redrezza ranked 5th in the 50 class, Giuseppe Signorelli ranked 3rd in the 100 class, Pierluigi Rottigni ranked 2nd in the 125 class.
During the third trial of the European Championship in Isny (9th – 10th June), the young, but already dangerous Gualtiero Brissoni, class 50, joined Pierluigi Rottigni, Antonio Redrezza and Giuseppe Signorelli.
A few days later, during the Valli Bergamasche (24th 25th June) following trial, there were a lot of SWM bikes lined up at the starting, a sign of the growing success of these beautiful bikes, just a year after their launching.

Six 50cc, four 100cc, seven 125cc and a trial 140cc model, all together 18 teams competed till the end to win the title and all reached important ranking.
Gualtiero Brissoni ranked 2nd in the 50 class, followed by Franco Tura 8th, Giuseppe Signorelli ranked 4th in the 100 class, while Pierluigi Rottigni ranked 3rd in the 125 class while Pasquale Bernini ranked 6th always in the same class.
Renato Anesa ranked 8th in the 175 class riding his SWM 140.
At the end of the season, Pierluigi Rottigni reached the best placement in the European Championship, ranking 3rd in the 125 class.
SWM gathered a whole lot of good placement also in the Italian Championship, just to mention a few, Gualtiero Brissoni ranked 2nd and Antonio Redrezza 3rd in the 50 cc class, while Pierluigi Rottigni ranked 3rd in the 125 cc class.
Also the goods results in the FMI Trophy for the amateur category are worth mentioning: Franco Tura ranked 2nd in the 50 cc class, Mazzoleni ranked 2nd in the 100 cc class and Renato Mingolla ranked 3rd in the 125 cc class.
Four SWM captains, Vergani, Brissoni, Signorelli and Bernini, were called to compete for the Silver Vase during the Six Days ridden in Spindleruv Mlyn Czechoslovak (from the 11th to the 16th September), another proof of SWM fame and reliability.
